Implant is a way of restoring missing teeth without having to reduce or harm adjacent teeth.
Implant is done in two stages. In first stage, implant fixture (made of titanium) is placed in bone of missing teeth surgically.
Implant fixture is to act as a root for the missing tooth in the future.
Then few month-time is allowed for the fixture to integrate with bone.
In second stage, implant fixture is exposed, and crown is constructed,
completing the restoration of root and head portion of the missing tooth.
Implant needs to be maintained the same way the natural teeth are maintained, using careful and thorough daily oral hygiene and regular professional care.
